Resettlement Officer – Temp Role - Torbay Area – 38 Hour Week - 28 days’ holidays increasing - Weekly Paid - Parking Permit - Temp role until March 2026, could be longer.

Our client is looking for someone to join their Community Safety Team within Communities and Customer Service for Vulnerable Adults in the Torbay Area. The main purpose of the role is to work with Vulnerable Adults with complex issues to find them accommodation.

Duties will involve:

  • Finding accommodation in order to reduce homelessness in the Torbay area
  • Carrying out welfare checks
  • Regular contact with housing departments and local registered landlords to find accommodation
  • Liaising with different agencies such as hostels, drug & alcohol probation, housing departments & local landlords
  • Working out in the field to engage with, risk assess and take corrective action as required
  • Working around the whole of the Torbay area
  • May be required to work from 6am on the outreach program

Skills required:

  • Full driving license (for company vehicle use)
  • Ability to engage, listen, empathise and connect with clients
  • Ability to deal with complex issues such as mental health and drug & alcohol abuse
  • Excellent people skills
  • Calm, patient attitude
  • To follow instruction and protocols as required
  • A full enhanced DBS is required for this role.
