Experienced Conveyancing Secretary
Location: Thatcham
Hours: Full-time | 9:00am – 5:30pm
Salary: 28K to 30K dependent upon conveyancing experience

Are you a highly organised and proactive individual with a background in conveyancing support? A well-respected, forward-thinking law firm in Thatcham is looking for a Conveyancing Secretary to join its dynamic and friendly team.
This position is highly suitable for a Legal Secretary who now wishes to specialise in conveyancing and be the support function to the fee earners. It’s a great opportunity to grow your legal career in a modern and supportive working environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support lawyers with a variety of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and lease extensions
- Prepare draft contracts, sales packs, property searches, and post-completion documents
- Liaise with clients, agents, solicitors, and financial institutions
- Attend client meetings and provide updates throughout the transaction process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the document management system
- Handle diary management and general team administrative support
The successful candidate will have:
2+ years’ legal administration experience, preferably within conveyancing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
- A confident team player who can build great relationships with clients and colleagues alike
