In this Global Network Lead role, you will steer the design, governance, and evolution of Weir’s worldwide network, aligning with business needs and security. You’ll drive the network strategy, oversee service delivery, and manage partners while balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, governance and evolution of the global network infrastructure to be scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.
- Develop and execute the Network strategy and technology direction, including evaluating private access and ZTNA, and managing technical debt.
- Provide operational leadership for network service delivery, including vendor/MSP management, deployment, incident resolution, and continuous improvement; act as escalation point for major incidents.
- Support financial planning, business case development, and resource allocation to align network projects with objectives.
- Balance ~60% strategic project work with ~40% BAU escalations and management oversight for smooth operations.
- Travel as needed to support global teams and vendor engagements.
- Demonstrate safety commitment within zero harm culture to support world-class safety practices.
Key requirements
- Extensive design, implementation, and support experience of enterprise network infrastructure (routing/switching, wireless, security, cloud networking, ZTNA, SSE).
- Cisco stack expertise including routing/switching, FTD NGFW, and FMC; CCNA certification required, CCIE or equivalent highly desirable.
- Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams, stakeholders, and service partners across time zones and cultures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to act as a technical escalation point for network incidents and requests.
