To provide 1st line Software support to customer and internal engineers, logging work tickets on the customer support ticketing system, triaging and prioritising them. The role requires flexibility in day-to-day work depending on workload and may involve assisting or covering for other support engineers. The position is integrated with the wider Software team, and duties may adapt to help others complete their tasks as priorities in the department change.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all software-related support queries via phone, email, or ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues including login problems, software errors, and connectivity issues
- Log, track, and manage incidents in the service software ticketing system, ensuring accurate details and supporting documentation are reported
- Escalate complex issues to 2nd or 3rd line support teams when necessary
- Install and configure software updates and patches as required
- Support In House applications and bespoke weighing applications
- Maintain a high-level communication with users, providing updates on issue resolution and ensuring 100% customer satisfaction
- Assist with customer account management tasks such as password resets and access permissions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
