Responsibilities
- Manage a mixed caseload of employment work, including advocacy, and provide HR employment law advice to key clients.
- Conduct advocacy at Employment Tribunals (including full merits hearings).
- Assist other members of the team with their caseloads as appropriate.
- Draft and prepare letters, e‑mails, documents, tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements and reports.
- Draft articles and legal updates.
- Assist with business development initiatives including training and networking.
- Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs.
- Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values and procedures.
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may apply.
About You
- 1-3 years PQE.
- Prior employment experience is essential.
- Advocacy experience would be preferable or a keen interest in developing advocacy skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong academics and technical knowledge.
- Excellent IT and typing skills.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets.
