Overview
As part of Weightmans’ Talent Acquisition team, you will lead recruitment for senior legal roles, including Partners and Legal Directors, and drive high-profile campaigns.
You’ll partner with hiring managers, map markets, and nurture talent pools to attract top strategic talent.
Your work will influence hiring strategy, process improvements, and a best-in-class candidate experience.
This role offers impact across the firm’s senior leadership recruitment and employer presence.
Responsibilities
- Manage caseload of senior vacancies (Partners, Legal Directors) and support for other roles
- Partner with managers to design tailored, inclusive recruitment processes
- Deliver end-to-end recruitment for Partner roles
- Conduct market mapping and headhunting
- Plan recruitment campaigns and select attraction methods
- Maintain effective ATS usage and accurate input for partner roles
- Create/manage talent pools, focusing on direct hiring
- Engage candidates via job boards, social media, and direct outreach
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders (managers, candidates, agencies)
- Provide regular progress updates and address issues/delays
- Ensure positive candidate experience throughout recruitment
- Lead offer discussions and negotiations
- Manage agency PSL, negotiate rates and ensure compliance
- Understand local candidate markets to choose sourcing methods
- Identify process improvements and lead change projects
- Coordinate with HR on offer documents and materials
- Conduct brand/profile-raising initiatives
- Produce regular/ad-hoc HR/recruitment reports
- Stay updated on HR practices and employment law
- Comply with policies and legislation
- Perform other related duties as required

- Key requirements
- Substantial recruitment experience at senior level, ideally in legal or professional services
- Confident in engaging with partners and senior stakeholders
- Experience managing complex recruitment with multiple stakeholders
- Direct sourcing and candidate engagement experience
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information
- Knowledge of senior-level hiring considerations (restrictive covenants, notice periods, team moves)
- Collaborative mindset with focus on exceptional stakeholder and candidate experience
- Experience using an applicant tracking system
- Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities
- Experience creating/maintaining talent pools
