The Data Services team plays a key role in helping Weightmans make informed, data-driven decisions. Supporting reporting, analytics, data quality and business intelligence across the firm, the team delivers valuable insights that drive operational performance and enhance client service.
The MI Analyst will be responsible for supporting data governance, producing management information and reporting, and delivering meaningful insights to stakeholders across the business. Working closely with colleagues throughout the firm, the role will help ensure data is accurate, reliable and effectively utilised to support strategic and operational objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the governance and coordination of client reporting.
- Developing new internal and client reporting solutions, implementing enhancements and carrying out day to day support.
- Design, develop and maintain reports, dashboards and data visualisations using tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Apply consistency of approach to report development and implementation.
- Work with business users and stakeholders to capture their business requirements as well as designing and providing solutions.
- Help drive the appropriate use, understanding and interpretation of management information throughout the business.
- Operate within, and assist in the development of processes and controls for management of information, ensuring change is dealt with in a controlled manner.
- Work proactively with Business Managers to suggest improved ways of reporting and ensuring consistent data quality.
- Assistance with firm projects where the Data Services department input is required.
- Working on data science/analytics projects and providing domain expertise.
- Analyse and interpret data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor and improve data quality, governance and reporting standards.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and enhance reporting processes.

About You
As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have:

- Excellent IT skills, including strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manipulate, analyse and present data.
- Experience developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools would be advantageous.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organisational skills.
