The Healthcare Regulatory Professional Discipline Team act for Medical Defence Organisations, insurers, and private clients in regulatory, disciplinary, coronial, and criminal matters. We are ranked as a tier 1 firm in professional discipline by the Legal 500.
The work would involve advising on Fitness to Practice (GDC/GMC and other Regulatory) Investigations, Inquests, police investigations and Trust disciplinary cases.
We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Defence Lawyer 3 to 5 years PQE to join our team in either Leeds or London.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for cases with minimal supervision
- Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
- Assist other lawyers in the team with their work, including supporting lead advisers and the supervision of more junior lawyers
- Conduct Advocacy including at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate
About You:
You will have previous experience and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work.
Essential:
- Qualified solicitor 3 to 5 years PQE
- Advocacy skills
- Knowledge in the Healthcare Regulatory field
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
