About your new role
This role is on a Fixed Term Contract for 6-12 months. The Business Change Projects Team plays a central role in delivering organisational transformation across Weightmans. Its purpose is to drive, manage and embed business change initiatives that improve processes, systems, service delivery and operational efficiency.
Weightmans are replacing their existing work management platform (MatterSphere) with ShareDo. This is a major programme of change for the Firm. While Weightmans is not seeking to use the change as an opportunity for business transformation, the implementation will nevertheless require changes to working practices across the business.
The role is to ensure the success of strategic business objectives through well-designed change and adoption methodologies, working alongside the Business Change Director and/or Project Managers on the programme to develop and implement change management strategies to maximise adoption and usage of ShareDo. Success of the programme implementation will be measured by adoption and the intention is for the Firm to align senior stakeholders’ objectives around adoption.
Accountable to the Business Change Director for:
- Change management, engagement, communication and adoption of ShareDo and the change needed to working practices as part of that adoption.
- Developing and implementing change management and adoption strategies as one of the programme’s workstreams to maximise adoption and colleagues’ usage of ShareDo and any working practices changes, to include longer-term embedding and continuous reinforcement of change.
- Conducting independent and objective impact assessments and assessing change readiness.
- Advising on and devising mitigation and action plans where weaknesses are identified.
- Overseeing organisational change and adoption initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and promoting adoption.
- Supporting and engaging with Projects Sponsors, Project Managers and Senior Stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment with programme goals.
- Ultimately responsible for integrating change management and adoption activities into the wider programme and project plans.
- Communicating the benefits of change initiatives to stakeholders via the development and implementation of communication plans.
- Supporting the effective communication of change.
- Monitoring and addressing resistance to change, using metrics and feedback to improve outcomes.
- Recruiting, leading, mobilising and deriving benefit from a change network of relevant stakeholders.
- Identifying and mitigating risks within change initiatives.
- Providing training and coaching to support stakeholders through transitions.
- Regular reporting on progress, adoption and measured success of change initiatives.
Working with and supporting the Business Change Department, Business Services and the wider Firm in the adoption and use of ShareDo. The above list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role.
