The Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team is very diverse, offering a broad range of expert advice to organisations and individuals in relation to health-based regulatory matters and proceedings. We have an enviable client base, from NHS Trusts to private healthcare providers, and cover inquests, Court of Protection applications, Mental Health Tribunals and other regulatory challenges; including advising on and defending prosecutions by Care Quality Commission and providing advice on a wide range of other health and care issues such as consent and confidentiality, capacity and best interests, and discharge processes.

As well as an enviable case load, Weightmans offers expert advice in affiliated matters—such as funding and employment issues—allowing for collaborative working across the firm.

As an Administration Assistant you will work as part of a team, assisting with all aspects of administration as per instructions from Fee Earners.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

  • General file maintenance
  • Opening new client files
  • Closing files and archiving
  • Carry out general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, shredding, key dating
  • Reports and billing
  • Gathering and collating management information
  • Document and correspondence management
  • Diary management for fee earners
  • Management of expenses system
  • Processing office and client account payment requests
  • Carrying out any other tasks that fall within the aspects of the role or wider teams
