Police Claims Paralegal in Leicester

As the largest dedicated police legal team in the country our lawyers have been involved in some of the most high profile and significant cases involving the police service over the last 15 years.

We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Police team in Leicester, Liverpool or Manchester.

Responsibilities

As a Paralegal your primary role will be to provide assistance to senior case handlers in the Police Claims team. You will be provided with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of claims against the police. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting fee earners with various tasks including general case management, legal research, drafting of witness statements and reports to clients and preparation for court hearings
• Attending client meetings and court hearings to support fee earners
• Assisting with the instruction of Counsel and experts
• Responding promptly and accurately to correspondence and telephone enquiries from clients and other parties, with and without supervision
• Achieving set financial and chargeable targets
• Supporting the team’s business development activities
