Overview
In this role you will manage a caseload of inquest files for NHS clients, care homes and other organisations, with travel to attend hearings. You will advocate at pre-inquest reviews and inquests, and meet with clients and witnesses to prepare for court. You join a diverse Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team that handles health-based regulatory matters and related proceedings. You will contribute to a client-focused, collaborative culture while developing your advocacy capabilities and handling urgent deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of inquest files
- Attend Inquest hearings at court and travel as required
- Advocacy at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests
- Meetings with clients and witnesses for court preparation
- Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor
- 4-10yr PQE
- Advocacy experience
- Willingness to develop advocacy skills
- Excellent organisational and time management
