The Corporate Team in Glasgow is a growing and high‑performing part of Weightmans' national Corporate offering. The team delivers high‑value transactional and advisory work across Scotland and beyond.
Requirements of the role:
- Supporting the Partners and other fee-earners with regards to client relationship management, business development and general secretarial support.
- Updating and maintaining key dates in the relevant diaries, as well as co-ordinating events and seminars, in close cooperation with fee-earners.
- Provision of secretarial support to the fee-earners in the team.
- Processing of dictation received from the designated fee-earners along with any work allocated by the team manager or support team manager.
- Case file management and support.
- Creation of correspondence and documentation under direction and on own initiative.
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Adherence to the service levels within the team (especially as required by client service level agreements) and ensure work is completed within these levels at all times.
- Effective liaison with the team manager and support team manager to ensure high quality of service to clients.
- Effective liaison with other support staff to manage workloads efficiently.
- Active progression of one's own professional development with support from the team manager and support team manager.
- Dealing with confidential client matters.
- Providing assistance with billing and archiving.
- Providing support in relation to case management and IT systems.
- Compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Working in accordance with Weightmans' values.

About You:
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar role and in a similar environment. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We are also looking for you to have:
- Extensive legal secretarial experience who is pro-active and works well in a fast paced environment.
- Fast, accurate typist with good audio typing skills.
- Ability to create and amend large, complicated documents (i.e. automatic numbering, track changes etc).
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Good teamwork skills.
