We currently have opportunities available for a September 2026 and September 2027 start. This vacancy is only applicable to those looking to practise Scottish law in our Glasgow office.

Our 24‑month training programme will provide you with excellent training and experience across four six‑month seats in different areas of the business, which will include the PEAT2 outcomes that are required for your qualification to solicitor.

Prior to starting your training contract, all successful candidates are required to complete the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice course. To be eligible to commence your trainee role in 2026, you must be currently completing, or have already completed, the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. Alternatively, if you are offered a trainee role with a 2027 start date and have not yet enrolled onto the course, we will fund the cost of your postgraduate tuition at the university of your choice.

Key Dates

  • Stage 1 – Application deadline: applications must be submitted by 4:00 pm on 25 June 2026. Please note that we are unable to accept applications after this deadline.
  • Stage 2 – Online assessments: candidates who are successful at the initial stage will be invited to complete online assessments in July (date to be confirmed).
  • Stage 3 – Final assessment (in person): candidates progressing to the final stage will be invited to attend an in‑person assessment at our Glasgow office. These assessments will take place between 20 and 31 July 2026. Please note that there are no alternative dates available. If you are unable to attend during this period, you will be unable to progress with your application.

If you are successful in progressing to Stage 2 or Stage 3, we will provide further details on what to expect as part of your assessments.
