Our market leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team advises employers across the UK on all aspects of employment, pensions and immigration law. Our clients are some of the UK's largest and best known employers. We believe that the quality of our clients and strength of our relationships with our clients speaks volumes about the quality of the service we provide. We are currently recruiting for a Professional Support Lawyer to join our HR Rely team. This role will be closely aligned to HR Rely, our flagship product, which provides fixed fee employment, HR and advisory support for employers.
Responsibilities
- Updating the HR Rely Website with the latest employment law developments to ensure clients have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
- Updating and maintaining our employment document library with minimal supervision.
- Developing client-facing tools and training programs to improve the quality of service provided to clients.
- Staying informed about employment law trends and maximising current awareness updates to proactively address potential legal issues.
- Creating and maintaining best practice guides and knowledge resources to support the team in delivering high-quality legal advice.
- Proactively seek ways to help our lawyers be more efficient.
- Bringing any ideas to Product & Innovation and Business Change - e.g. how new technology may be harnessed and leveraged for benefit.
- Write and edit guidance notes, precedents, checklists and provide practical advice to employment lawyers.
- Attend external meetings and events as appropriate and maintain personal professional development.
- Supporting on a wide range of projects as and when required.
- Delivering training and some limited legal work to achieve a modest financial target.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Employment lawyer with a strong background in Employment Law.
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to write about, present and train others in relation to legal developments, including case law, legislation and procedural changes.
- A high level of interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with a range of people to deliver results.
- A pragmatic and commercial approach to legal problem-solving.
- Proven ability to juggle demands and resources with various requirements and priorities.
- Good time management, organisation and IT skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset - looking for opportunities to sell bolt-on services (e.g. training) to our existing HRR clients.
