Weightmans is a top 40 ranked law firm seeking an Inquest solicitor to join our expanding Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team. The team offers a broad range of expert advice to organisations and individuals in relation to healthâbased regulatory matters and proceedings, covering NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, inquests, Court of Protection applications, Mental Health Tribunals and other regulatory challenges. The role will primarily focus on managing a caseload of inquest files for NHS clients, care homes and other organisations, and possibly some broader healthcare advisory work. The position is mainly based in the Midlands, working out of our stateâofâtheâart office in Birmingham City Centre, with occasional national travel.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of inquest files.
- Attend inquest hearings at court, including travel.
- Advocate at preâinquest review hearings and inquests.
- Conduct meetings with clients and witnesses in preparation for court hearings.
- Work in accordance with Weightmans' values.
About You
Essential
- Qualified solicitor with 2â10 years PQE.
- Advocacy experience.
