Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse case load of files
- Supervise case work undertaken by other colleagues
- Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and Key Performance Indicators are adhered to
- Work with the Team and department management structures to develop our service delivery
- Be commercial and acquisitive and actively look for opportunities to develop our business and brand
- Attend applications and hearings at court, including travel, and accompany counsel where necessary
- Undertake advocacy at pre‑inquest review hearings and inquests, where appropriate
- Hit financial and casework expectations
- Work collaboratively within the Team and the wider department
- Comply with relevant policies and procedures
- Work in accordance with Weightmans' values

Requirements
- Goal‑focused qualified solicitor with 4‑10 years PQE, with a proven background in representing clients in Inquests and Regulatory investigations and prosecutions
- Established advocacy skills an advantage, but advocacy support will be available
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent collaborative and team working skills, but confident and able to take on cases in your own name
- Experience in supervising and mentoring (junior) colleagues
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
