The predicted salary is between 28350 - 34650 £ per year.

To work as part of the Procurement team, assisting with all aspects of procurement including supplier on-boarding, ongoing supplier management, as well as leading and assisting with matters arising in the supplier and contracts management area.

Lead on supplier on-boarding activities for nominated areas to include the generation of Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and management of the on-boarding process through to contract award.

Identify potential risks from suppliers at on-boarding and throughout contract duration and report risks to R&C virtual team for review.

Act as Procurement subject matter expert for delegated business services teams, supporting both the Procurement Team and Business Services Department Users. Provide guidance to Business Services teams to ensure policies, procedures and controls are adhered to.

Provide support and guidance to the Procurement Coordinator to ensure all contracts management processes and procedures are adhered to.

Oversee the Procurement Coordinator for nominated areas to ensure the timely issue of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Codes of Conduct.

Support the Procurement Coordinator in the creation of Mattersphere and SharePoint records for Supplier and ensuring all portal information is kept up to date and missing data obtained and recorded.

Maintain accurate and up to date electronic records of supplier reviews.

Work with Head of Procurement to ensure all information and systems are up to date prior to external audits. Work with Head of Procurement to generate necessary monthly reports.

Assist the Head of Procurement and ESG Manager with the development of a Supplier ESG baseline and integration of ESG risk levels, with an aim to improving the Ecovadis Sustainable Procurement score.

Deputise for the Head of Procurement in the on-boarding of suppliers liaising with both Requestors and other R&C stakeholders if required. Assist Head of Procurement with other tasks as the business demands commensurate with role level.

Keep up to date with developments and best practice within the Procurement area. This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role.

Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have/be:

  • Procurement knowledge and experience essential
  • MCIPS would be advantageous
  • Show initiative and be self-motivated
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines is essential
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • A high level of interpersonal skills including communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with a range of people to deliver results
  • Conscientious approach to all work
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
