Service Manager
- Location: Brecon and Crickhowell
- Hours: 37 hours per week (shift pattern includes weekends and sleep‑ins)
- Salary: £32,669 per annum plus £60 per night for sleep‑in shifts; travel expenses paid at 45p per mile
- Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities
As Service Manager you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and management of the support service, proactively engaging with the continued development of the service. You will provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to deliver quality, person‑centred support to the people we support to make everyday remarkable. You will build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action.
You will carry out frequent reviews of support requirements, including service delivery plans, support plans, progress logs and risk assessments following the principles of person‑centred and relationship‑centred Active Support. You will manage a team of support workers, handling all aspects of team management and development, encouraging and coaching them to creatively problem‑solve and develop. Above all, your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of support and independence for the people we support to make everyday remarkable.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
- Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards it)
- A strong caring nature to support others in living an enriched life and fulfilling their potential
- Effective communication and the ability to influence others
- Working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
- Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
- Access to your own car and willingness to transport people we support to/from activities, with business insurance covered at 45p per mile
- Driver’s licence and willingness to travel for meetings and training
