Come and make a real difference: we\’re looking for an Assistant Service Manager to help make everyday remarkable for our friendly team in Swansea.
Location and Contract
Location: Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week. Pay: £14.15 per hour. Service type: Home Care / Domiciliary Services. Role: Assistant Service Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support.
- Be visible in the day-to-day operation, supporting duties in line with the needs of the people we support.
- Work shifts on a rota basis which may include sleep-ins.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service when the Service Manager is absent, providing leadership and management to the team.
- Monitor performance, carry out one-to-one and appraisals, and hold team meetings.
- Build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action to deliver a first‑class service.
- Focus on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support and organising and modelling support in an innovative, person‑centred and flexible way to make everyday remarkable.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting.
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards).
- A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential.
- A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice.
- Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required.
- A full driving licence – essential and happy to travel for meetings and training.
- Access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this.
