About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain the outdoor areas of a prestigious commercial site at Capital Park, Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Mowing lawns and maintaining grassed areas
- Hedge trimming, shrub pruning and general planting
- Weeding flower beds and watering plants
- Sweeping and blowing paths and hard landscaped areas
- Emptying litter bins and maintaining a clean site
- Operating grounds maintenance equipment including:
- Pedestrian mowers
- Ride-on mowers
- Strimmers
- Hedge cutters
- Leaf blowers
- Carrying out daily equipment safety checks and reporting defects
- Applying fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides where appropriately qualified (PA1/PA6)
- Assisting with seasonal duties including leaf clearance, snow clearance, gritting and storm clean-up
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or commercial gardening
