Warehouse Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, assisting with shipping and receiving, and maintaining stock levels within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities

• Handling materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving stock throughout the warehouse
• Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if necessary)
• Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to ensure accurate stock levels
• Preparing items for shipment by picking, packing, and organising orders according to specifications
• Assisting with shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
• Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation
• Conducting quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items
• Performing heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all necessary skills
• Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is advantageous
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software is a plus
• Experience in shipping & receiving, picking & packing, and stock management is desirable
• Mechanical knowledge or understanding of warehouse equipment will be considered an asset
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and quality assurance processes

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.60-£13.00 per hour
