Wego is family owned and operated, with 3 members of ownership across 2 generations actively serving in leadership as CEO, COO, and CCO.

Job Summary

To expand our EMEA business, we are looking for a home-office based Sales manager for regions: UK (Northern Europe), Poland & Eastern Europe, and Germany (Central Europe). This role will focus on increasing sales of food additives like acidulants, amino acids, preservatives, antioxidants, hydrocolloids, phosphates, sweeteners, and plant-based proteins.

Responsibilities

  • Develop targeted product portfolios and market segments with global and regional product managers for sustainable & profitable growth
  • Create and implement commercial strategies & plans for specific countries/regions, products, volumes, and sales targets
  • Grow existing customer relationships and prospect new accounts to increase market share
  • Provide regular market intelligence updates regarding products, customers, prospects, and competitors
  • This role requires regular travel within the designated region to meet customers, attend industry events, and network

Key Qualifications

  • Results-driven sales professional with a passion for building lasting customer relationships, thriving in an entrepreneurial environment, ambitious, and business development oriented
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, balancing independence with collaboration to achieve results
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently
  • Analytical with a structured approach to business development
  • Strong network and proven sales and business development track record in the European food industry in a similar role
  • Experience in international chemical/ingredients trading is a plus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills in English; proficiency in German, Polish, or other regional languages is advantageous
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools is beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
