We are seeking a new team member for six months to join a busy central PMO Office and support PMO Analyst activities required for a world leading University that is highly regarded as an innovative, transformative and collaborative institution.

The role will be responsible for providing essential operational, administrative and analytical support to enable the smooth delivery of key improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring successful execution of projects and initiatives by providing essential support, assistance and direction.
As an experienced PMO Analyst, you will have experience of working collaboratively in a project team environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, producing accurate documentation, and identifying and mitigating risks. Strong communication skills is one of the strengths required, liaising with stakeholders at all levels and offering advice and guidance to ensure the successful planning and execution of projects and initiatives.
Key Skills & Attributes & Requirements:
- This position requires experience of working within a central PMO environment, ideally within a large public or private sector organisation.
- 7–10 years’ PMO/portfolio experience who can operate confidently across a complex delivery environment.
- Deep PMO expertise across governance, RAID, planning, portfolio reporting, assurance and quality control.
- Advanced analytical capability, including creation of high‑quality dashboards, presentation of portfolio insights, KPI tracking development and management information.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to work credibly with senior leaders, e.g. Heads of Portfolio, and challenge where appropriate.
- Experience supporting large programmes or organisation‑wide portfolios.
- Ability to improve PMO processes, not just run existing ones.
- High proficiency in Excel, Power BI and collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, JIRA.
- Experience of Agile practices, e.g. PI Planning / Quarterly Planning.
