Interview process: Two Stage Interview Process
Working pattern: Hybrid - 4 Days on site required. Weetabix Wednesday is a non-negotiable where we all come into the office for business partnering and meetings.
The primary goal of this position is to ensure the quality and food safety of all finished products produced externally, along with their packaging. You will champion quality enhancement and work diligently to minimise food safety risks.
- Own and update the Weetabix Standards for Food Safety (WSFS) for Co-manufacturers and Packaging, aligning with industry best practices and legislation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish standards for Co-manufacturing and packaging.
- Approve co-manufacturers and packaging suppliers for Weetabix products.
- Maintain supplier due diligence documentation.
- Manage food safety and quality incidents and complaints related to external manufacturing and packaging.
- Enhance supplier quality and food safety through initiatives, improvement plans, KPI reporting, and relationship management.
- Engage and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Provide technical support for innovation projects.
- Deputise for the Supplier Technical Manager as needed.
Requirements
- Technical and Quality background with experience in food safety and compliance.
- Proven experience of driving quality improvement / continuous improvement.
- Proven experience of Auditing, HACCP, Food Safety, Microbiology, Allergen Management.
- Previous experience in managing external suppliers.
- A good understanding of BRC requirements.
- Knowledge of Retailer standards.
- Understanding of quality management in a food environment.
- Working knowledge of packaging.
- Alignment to Weetabix values.
- Are always curious to finding new ways to do business!
- Have the ability to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise.
