The Recipe (About the Role)
The Innovation Project Manager plays a crucial role in driving and executing designated commercialisation projects within our innovation and renovation program, taking them from concept to launch. This involves exemplary cross‐functional supervision, strict adherence to Stage‐Gate governance, and a forward‐thinking approach to risk management. The position skillfully aligns plans, teams, and choices to ensure launches are delivered on‐time, in‐full, and on‐budget. These successful launches not only enhance our brand equity and margins but also increase scalability, all while contributing to the achievement of our growth strategy.
- End‐To‐End Project Management: Own commercialisation projects from concept to launch, maintaining consistency in scope and success metrics.
- Stage‐Gate Discipline: Manage projects through governance with high‐quality materials, ensuring compliance with gate criteria.
- Critical Path & Timeline Control: Create and oversee detailed plans, tracking milestones and addressing delays proactively.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and mitigate risks, maintaining a risk register and resolution log.
- Cross‐Functional Supervision: Collaborate across multiple departments including Marketing, R&D, and Operations to execute plans.
- Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear status updates and elevate issues with proposed solutions.
- Operational Readiness & Launch Execution: Manage trials, quality checks, and ensure readiness for launch.
- Benefits, Cost & Compliance: Monitor outcomes against targets and ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Reporting & PMO Interface: Align with PMO standards for accurate portfolio visibility and resource management.

- Experience in cross‐functional NPD/renovation projects in FMCG or consumer goods.
- Expertise in Stage‐Gate and project governance from concept to launch.
- Skilled in critical path planning, risk/issue management, and dependency control.
- Commercial acumen for insight, feasibility, and decision‐ready gates.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
Nice To Have:
- Mastery of Product Line Cycle Management and digital workflow/portfolio tools; dashboarding and portfolio analytics.
- Agile delivery practices for innovation (timeboxing, sprints, rapid experiments, PIRs).
