The Recipe (About the Role)
- Designing and effectively implementing capital investment projects, with the guide of the Capital Programme Manager, to ensure Weetabix Capital funds are spent in line with the business strategy and requirements.
- Review project targets and define full scope of work, complete Specification requirements for tender submission.
- Complete fair tender process for project proposal and complete T&Cs, manage contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and prepare the project Capital Submission CAF, manage the budget and timeline for project implementation.
- Prepare project timeline, manage cross functional stakeholders, plan appropriate window with Manufacturing Manager, Engineering, Cleaning.
- Manage project risks, including schedule, and project conflicts.
- Approve designs, ensuring compliance with legislation (e.g. PUWER, DSEAR) and Weetabix Food Company Standards (e.g. electrical, mechanical, Food Safety, EHS).
- Review and approve RAMS before commencement of work onsite.
- Complete training to manage work onsite, issuing permits to work, managing high risk activities in accordance with legislation and Weetabix policies.
- Prepare and complete CDM health and safety project file.
- Induct contractors and manage health and safety whilst work undertaken onsite. Complete H&S audits. Undertake site EHS audits of the area.
- Conduct regular project reviews and status updates to stakeholders. Prepare monthly project update reports to stakeholders and stage gate progression.
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and other external parties to facilitate project progression.
- Deliver successful project delivery including management of stakeholders, project team, and effective communication throughout the business.
- Review quality of work completed ensuring it meets the specification and Weetabix standards.
- Complete project closure and summary of benefits and realisations post completion and sign off by relevant bodies for UK legislation.
- Undertake any other duties, consistent with the level of the role, skills and experience, as may be reasonably required to guide the business.

- Recognised Engineering qualification (NVP Level 3 or equivalent) or alternative technical area.
- Use of MS Office particularly Excel, Powerpoint & Word.
- Suitable safety qualifications (e.g. SMSTS, FAAW, IOSH).
- Use of engineering applications, e.g. CAD.
- Experience in engineering/technical roles.
- Project management.
Good to have:
- NEBOSH.
- Project Management qualification.
- Working in an FMCG or Construction environment.
