We are expanding our team and looking for a qualified NQ - 3 PQE Solicitor with experience in commercial, data protection, and/or intellectual property law to join our Weetabix team! The Solicitor plays a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice, research, and drafting that enables confident, informed decision-making across the organisation. Providing responsive and reliable support on day-to-day legal matters, this role helps ensure the smooth and efficient running of the legal function, while developing the capability to manage more complex advisory work over time.
Working in a fast-paced environment, the Solicitor will contribute to modernising legal processes, enhancing digital and technology-enabled ways of working, and strengthening how legal risks are identified and managed. The role also supports the wider legal team by maintaining robust legal standards, building knowledge, and embedding clear, practical guidance across the business.
The Recipe (About the Role)
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documentation to enable efficient, compliant commercial activity.
- Provide clear, practical legal research, insights and recommendations to support confident decision-making across the business.
- Proactively manage day-to-day legal queries, delivering timely, accurate advice and escalating where appropriate.
- Partner with teams across Sales, Commercial, Procurement and Information Technology to support business activity and legal processes.
- Maintain and continuously improve legal templates, guidance and knowledge resources to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Support compliance across data protection, commercial law and intellectual property requirements.
- Contribute to improving contract lifecycle management and knowledge-sharing processes as the organisation grows.
- Identify opportunities to enhance legal service delivery through digital tools, automation and artificial intelligence.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase clarity, speed and quality of legal support.
- Help build legal awareness across the organisation through accessible guidance, training materials and user-friendly resources.
