Working pattern: Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm/8:00am-4:30pm | Flexibility between Burton Latimer & Corby site will be required. We're happy to make reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process; just let us know how we can support you.

The Recipe (About the Role)

As an Electrical Compliance Engineer, you will assist our wider engineering teams to deliver safe, compliant, and reliable electrical systems across the site. You'll ensure all activities align with statutory regulations and internal engineering standards, helping to protect our people, safeguard our assets, and maintain uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Working jointly with engineering, production, and project teams, you will own and deliver electrical compliance programmes. You'll use your technical expertise to assess electrical safety risks, identify any non-compliance, and ensure effective, timely corrective actions are in place. In doing so, you'll play a critical role in maintaining legal compliance while assisting a safe, diverse, and high-performing working environment.

  • Identify and interpret relevant regulatory and industry compliance standards for company assets
  • Develop and implement compliance plans using appropriate engineering guidelines, methodologies, and best-practice approaches
  • Partner with engineering teams to review design data and specifications, highlighting potential compliance risks
  • Conduct required testing, inspections, and assessments, ensuring accurate recording of results and clear reporting of findings
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, recommending improvements to products, processes, and ways of working
  • Plan and deliver corrective actions in line with company procedures and timelines
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to monitor compliance status and progress
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Guide Duty Holders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to enhance policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
  • Provide clear guidance on compliance matters and promote consistent application of best practices across the site

The Ingredients (What we need from you)

  • Working knowledge of British Standards, Electricity at Work Regulations, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), and Electromagnetic Field (EMF) Regulations
  • Certified in CompEx (Ex01Ex04, Ex05Ex06, Ex11) for work in hazardous areas
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults and compliance issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Experience guiding installation, testing, and commissioning of new or modified electrical systems
