The Recipe (About the Role)
The main focus of this position is to offer expert technical support to our Intake and Supplier Quality Managers. You'll play a crucial role in spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. Your tasks will involve:
- Assessing the suitability of incoming raw materials and packaging
- Verifying their adequacy for use
- Swiftly addressing any non-conformances
- Supporting Materials Quality Managers with due diligence
- Managing supplier complaints
- Conducting root cause analysis for non-conformances
- Driving quality improvements for ingredients and packaging
- Liaising with Supply Chain regarding customer service impacts
- Supporting holds and concession processes with sampling and testing
- Inspecting and sampling incoming raw materials and packaging for suitability
- Obtaining and verifying Certificates of Analysis for compliance
- Releasing ingredients via the ERP system
- Sampling raw materials for monitoring and testing programs
- Improving the quality consistency of raw materials and packaging
- Following all stages of the ingredients trial process
- Supporting wheat lab activities
- Assisting in traceability audits (e.g., WSFS, BRC)
- Adhering to safety standards and reporting hazards
- Deputising for Quality Managers as needed
