The Recipe (About the Role)
The main focus of this position is to offer expert technical support to our Intake and Supplier Quality Managers. You\'ll play a crucial role in spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. Your tasks will involve assessing the suitability of incoming raw materials and packaging, verifying their adequacy for use, and swiftly addressing any non-conformances. This role beautifully integrates technical know-how with stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities.
- Support Materials Quality Managers with due diligence
- Manage supplier complaints
- Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances
- Drive quality improvements for ingredients and packaging
- Liaise with Supply Chain regarding customer service impacts
- Support holds and concession processes with sampling and testing
- Inspect and sample incoming raw materials and packaging for suitability
- Obtain and verify Certificates of Analysis for compliance
- Release ingredients via the ERP system
- Sample raw materials for monitoring and testing programs
- Improve the quality consistency of raw materials and packaging
- Follow all stages of the ingredients trial process
- Support wheat lab activities
- Assist in traceability audits (e.g., WSFS, BRC)
- Adhere to safety standards and report hazards
- Deputise for Quality Managers as needed
