WeEngage are partnered with a global fintech company entering its next phase of growth, investing heavily in its engineering organisation and building out new product capabilities. This is not a maintenance role. You'll be joining a high-impact team focused on delivering scalable systems and customer-facing products that will shape the company's next chapter.
We're looking for an Engineering Manager who stays close to the technology. You'll lead a cross-functional team of engineers across backend and frontend. You won't be expected to code daily, but you should be comfortable contributing to system design and engaging in architectural discussions with senior engineers. The environment is fast-paced and delivery-focused. We're looking for leaders who take ownership, identify bottlenecks early, and drive improvements proactively.
What we're looking for:
- Technically Credible: Strong engineering background with prior experience as a high-performing IC. Able to contribute to system design and technical decision-making.
- Product Mindset: Balances technical quality with delivery; understands how to prioritise based on user and business impact.
- Distributed Systems Experience: Deep exposure to scalable systems, APIs, or microservices architectures. Comfortable working across multiple languages/tech stacks.
- People Leadership: Experience managing and developing engineers in a high-growth environment, with a focus on coaching and team performance.
- Office first mindset: Values in-person collaboration and building strong relationships across engineering, product, and design.
You'll be joining a well-established business with strong market traction, combined with the opportunity to have real impact as the organisation continues to scale. The environment offers both stability and the chance to shape new systems, teams, and ways of working.
