This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise eCommerce development and platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, and Magento, delivering scalable, high-performing, and customer-centric online shopping experiences.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to architect, develop, and optimize eCommerce solutions that support business growth and exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of modern eCommerce architectures, customization, third-party integrations, performance optimization, and best software engineering practices. You should be comfortable leading technical initiatives, mentoring junior developers, and driving continuous improvements across development processes.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance storefronts, backend services, and custom modules.
- Integrate payment gateways, ERP, CRM, inventory management systems, shipping providers, and other third-party services.
- Optimize website performance, page speed, SEO, accessibility, and overall user experience.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Ensure applications follow security standards, coding guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release management activities.
- Experience implementing payment gateways, shipping integrations, tax solutions, and inventory systems.

Proven experience delivering large-scale Shopify Plus and Adobe Commerce implementations. Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and scalable application development. Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineering teams. Passion for building exceptional digital commerce experiences.
