We're looking for an ambitious and consultative Business Development Manager to join a growing technology business, helping organisations modernise their IT environments through Cloud and Managed IT Services. This is an opportunity for a proven new business sales professional who enjoys developing relationships with senior decision-makers, uncovering customer challenges, and positioning cloud and managed technology solutions that deliver real business value.

The Role

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the SMB market.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities to consistently achieve sales targets.
  • Prospect and generate new business through a variety of channels, including cold outreach and networking.
  • Position Azure services, Microsoft cloud technologies and Managed IT solutions using a consultative, value-led sales approach.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer challenges and recommend tailored technology solutions.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and solution demonstrations to senior decision-makers and business owners.
  • Negotiate commercial terms in line with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM records and pipeline reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless handover from sales to client management.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of Azure, Microsoft technologies and the wider cloud ecosystem.

About You

  • A proven track record of winning new business within the technology sector.
  • Experience selling Azure services, Microsoft cloud solutions or Managed IT Services.
  • A consultative, solution-led sales approach with excellent discovery and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience selling to senior stakeholders, directors and business owners.
  • Consistent achievement against ambitious sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, forecasting and pipeline management experience.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
