If you’re an experienced Microsoft 365 Architect looking to move deeper into the AI workplace space, this is a chance to work on complex enterprise transformation programmes while helping shape how clients adopt Microsoft’s evolving AI ecosystem.

The role

  • Act as the architectural lead across Microsoft 365 and AI workplace engagements, taking solutions from initial requirements and target-state architecture through to technical assurance and delivery.
  • Own end-to-end architecture across SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID and Power Platform.
  • Design target-state architectures and migration roadmaps from legacy environments into Microsoft 365.
  • Architect Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio solutions, including agents, grounding data and retrieval approaches.
  • Design integrations between Microsoft 365, AI services and line-of-business applications using Microsoft Graph, REST APIs and GraphQL.
  • Define security, compliance and data architecture using Microsoft Purview, Defender and Microsoft 365 security controls.
  • Establish AI governance around access, licensing, data exposure and responsible AI adoption.
  • Act as a design authority across delivery teams, providing technical assurance around security, scalability, performance and cost.
  • Lead architecture workshops and technical discussions with senior client stakeholders.
  • Support pre-sales activity, solution shaping and technical estimates.
  • Mentor engineers and consultants and help establish architecture and delivery standards.

What we’re ideally looking for

  • Significant experience designing and delivering Microsoft workplace solutions at enterprise scale, ideally within a consulting, professional services or similarly client-facing environment.
  • Strong Solution Architecture experience across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Deep knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive and Entra ID.
  • Experience designing enterprise security and compliance solutions using Microsoft Purview and Defender.
  • Hands-on architecture experience across Power Platform and Dataverse.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and AI-enabled workplace solutions.
  • A good understanding of AI governance, information architecture and responsible AI.
  • Experience with enterprise migrations, including cross-tenant or multi-tenant environments.
  • Integration experience across Microsoft Graph, APIs and enterprise applications.
  • The ability to operate as a technical authority while communicating complex architecture decisions to non-technical stakeholders.

How to prepare for a job interview at WeDoTech

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
