Wedo has partnered with an innovative InsurTech company looking to hire a Senior QA Engineer (Automation) to join their QA community of practice . Our client builds cutting-edge software leveraging SaaS, Cloud, Data Management, Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning . This is an opportunity to work on a Greenfield SaaS solution , where you will own the test infrastructure, tooling, and services. You’ll play a key role in shaping processes, improving quality maturity , and driving automation efforts close to the code base .
About the Role
This company hires top-tier engineering talent and needs a collaborative Senior QA Engineer who thrives in modern Agile environments and follows Shift Left principles . They are looking for a technical QA leader with a quality-first mindset , someone who sees the bigger picture and understands the impact on customers .
You’ll be responsible for driving continuous integration and delivery , ensuring a robust testing strategy across the test pyramid , and reducing reliance on large end-to-end (E2E) tests . The goal is to push testing further down the pyramid to emphasize unit, component, integration, and contract testing .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive QA processes, ensuring quality across the test pyramid .
- Support continuous deployment by working closely with Engineering Managers.
- Implement continuous delivery practices , including quality gates, tooling, and scalable processes .
- Champion a quality-first culture , assisting the QA Director in embedding best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders , presenting technical solutions and fostering strong engagement.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in testing Microservices, APIs, and messaging systems .
- Experience with contract testing (e.g., PACT) and component testing (desirable).
- Familiarity with non-functional testing (Performance, Security, Disaster Recovery) using K6, JMeter (desirable).
