Our client is building next-gen software that leverages SaaS, Cloud, Data Management, Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning. This is a Greenfield SaaS platform offering you the chance to take full ownership of the test infrastructure, tooling, and services from the ground up.
About the Role
They’re looking for a strategic Lead QA Engineer to take a central role in monitoring AI/ML models in production ensuring they remain reliable and high-performing for a core B2B Enterprise SaaS product.
Core Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Lead QA strategy across the product vision. The focus is evolving from deep technical testing (already well-established) to driving production readiness. You\’ll take ownership of areas like:
- Observability tooling
- Security validation
- Recovery procedures
- Performance & load testing
- Disaster recovery planning
- Be the voice of risk in the engineering organisation—assessing, articulating, and influencing decisions around testing and risk. You’ll be empowered to draw a hard line when needed.
- Act as a quality evangelist across teams, including:
- Coaching and mentoring QA Engineers (4–6 across 2 scrum teams)
- Running workshops to promote best practices
- Influencing the wider quality culture and engineering mindset
- Leading non-functional test coverage improvements
Experience Needed
- You consider yourself a leader first, manager second.
- You’ve followed a hands-on QA career across both functional and non-functional testing.
- You’re confident across the QA spectrum—this isn’t a pure performance testing role, but depth in that area is a bonus.
- Experience with chaos engineering (especially Azure Chaos Studio) is highly desirable but not essential.
- Exposure to AI/ML-powered products is a strong plus, given the nature of Radar Vision.
- Your standout skill is your ability to influence, communicate, and defend quality with confidence.
- Solid experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting is essential—QEs work closely with DevOps.
- You bring proven experience in Microservices and API automation at scale.
- Recent hands-on experience with performance testing rounds out your skillset.
- 15% bonus
- Private healthcare & critical illness cover
- Free parking (5 minutes from the train station)
- Structured career development pathways
Interview Process
- 30-minute initial chat with the QA Manager
- 1-hour architecture exercise
- 1-hour final interview with the Engineering Manager & Director of QA
