The Opportunity
We are partnering with a high growth fintech to appoint an experienced ITAM Manager to lead a critical Application Management function supporting business critical platforms. This is a senior leadership role managing an established onshore and nearshore team within a collaborative and technically strong environment. The business is entering a significant phase of scale, and requires a structured, commercially aware leader who can strengthen alignment between Product and Engineering, bring clarity to roadmapping and expectations, and prepare the function for continued growth. While the role is primarily hands off, it carries senior accountability as the escalation point during major incidents and service events.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a distributed Application Management team, fostering a high performance culture
- Strengthen integration between Product and Engineering, particularly across APIs and application touchpoints
- Introduce structure to planning, prioritisation, and roadmap management
- Act as a senior escalation point during incidents, ensuring calm and effective leadership
- Partner closely with Technology and Product stakeholders to support business critical systems
- Scale the function in line with an ambitious product and growth roadmap
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement and automation
- Create clear development pathways, enabling team members to grow into SME roles or transition into wider technology domains
- Set expectations effectively across teams and influence senior stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Proven leadership experience within Application Management, Production Operations, or a similar technical environment
- Strong AWS and SQL experience (essential)
- Background in engineering or a highly technical environment
- Ability to operate credibly alongside engineering teams
- Demonstrated success managing senior stakeholders across Technology and Product
- Experience leading distributed teams
- A proactive, structured operator comfortable working in high growth businesses
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to create alignment and drive outcomes
