Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer
Salary: Up to £95,000 base + 15% bonus + benefits
Location: Croydon / Reigate area, hybrid working with 2 days onsite per week

Role
/n WeDo is partnering with a global technology organisation looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join the team responsible for the maintenance and continued evolution of its flagship SaaS platform.
/n
This is a genuinely high-scale engineering environment. The platform processes over 32 million requests every day, operates across 5 global deployment nodes and runs against a 99.95% availability SLA.
/n
The challenge is not simply building new infrastructure. You will be helping evolve an established, business-critical SaaS platform where reliability, scalability and maintaining availability while making changes are fundamental.
/n
The environment is Azure only, with Kubernetes at the heart of the platform.
/n
Responsibilities
/n • Maintain and evolve a large-scale, globally deployed SaaS platform
/n • Build, operate and improve Azure Kubernetes environments
/n • Ensure the platform continues to meet its 99.95% availability SLA
/n • Improve scalability, resilience and operational reliability
/n • Automate infrastructure and platform changes through Terraform
/n • Improve deployment processes and reduce the risk of downtime
/n • Troubleshoot platform, networking and workload issues in production
/n • Improve monitoring, observability and operational processes
/n • Work closely with Software Engineering, Security and Architecture teams
/n
Required Skills
Kubernetes / AKS is essential.
/n You should also have strong experience across:
/n • Microsoft Azure
/n • Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
/n • Azure Front Door
/n • Azure API Management
/n • ArgoCD / GitOps
/n • Renovate
/n • CI/CD and deployment automation
/n • Observability and production troubleshooting
/n • Highly available, business-critical production environments
/n
Experience supporting high-volume SaaS platforms handling millions of requests would be particularly valuable.
