With multiple high-end projects across Edinburgh, if you are passionate about decorating, have high standards of work, have experience leading other decorators, work well in a team, and want to be part of a great company, then this is the role for you.
We are working with an established business growing consistently each year, who are big believers in developing every team member, creating a positive work environment for all our staff whilst getting excellent results for our clients. Their aim is to ensure each team member enjoys going to work each day, being part of a great company culture built on teamwork and excellence.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage jobs, complete all decorating to a high standard including both painting and wallpapering. You will be looking for a company to work for long term and have an interest in developing yourself. Normal working hours are 8.00am until 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Skills, Experience & Traits required:
- Valid Driving License
- Own transport is required; a van may be provided if necessary after 4 months of employment
- Being a good team player
- Great customer service skills and experience dealing directly with customers
- Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure our customers are 100% happy
- Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- NVQ level 3 in Painting and Decorating preferable
- More than 5 years experience of decorating residential and commercial properties
- A great eye for detail
- A passion for decorating with an excellent standard of work
- Able to relate information back to head office in a timely and organised manner
- Experience dealing with on-site issues and able to adapt as needed
Responsibilities:
- Perform painting and decorating tasks such as surface preparation, painting, and finishing
- Drive to different job sites to complete painting and decorating assignments
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns
- Transport materials and equipment
