Electrical Project Manager

Job Title: Commercial Electrical Project Manager Location: Congleton, CW12 Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Negotiable Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical packages on commercial construction projects. This role focuses on managing electrical installations across office, retail, and mixed-use developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage electrical works across commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure project feasibility and accuracy Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and labour forecasts Oversee installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and data/communications Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and health & safety standards Conduct site inspections and monitor quality and progress Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor packages Lead testing, commissioning, and project handover processes Identify risks and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within commercial construction Strong technical knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations Experience delivering projects such as office fit-outs, retail units, or large-scale commercial developments Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, and contract management Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Knowledge of local electrical regulations and standards Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel Spreadsheets Key Skills Commercial project delivery Electrical systems expertise Budget and cost control Programme and schedule management Risk management Leadership and team coordination Problem-solving under pressure What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits Exposure to high-profile commercial projects Opportunities for career progression Supportive and professional working environment How to Apply If you are a Commercial Electrical Project Manager looking for your next opportunity, please submit your CV along with a summary of recent projects, including project size, value, and your role in delivery to myself Tia via applying through CV Library.
