What’s the role? Class 1 HGV Driver – responsible for delivering our high‑quality products to customers as an integral part of the fleet.
Responsibilities- Put safety first – ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, driving legislation, company procedures, tachograph monitoring, and road regulations.
- Collect and deliver steelwork.
- Maintain good working relationships with customers.
- Complete accurate delivery records and relevant paperwork.
- Carry out vehicle inspections.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service in all interactions.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Have good geographical knowledge of the area.
- Hold a full and Cat C+E clean licence (minor points may be considered).
- Possess a digital tachograph card and full driver CPC.
- Have a minimum of 1 year’s HGV driving experience.
- Permanent 38‑hour contract, gross pay of £15.60 per hour (£592.80 per week).
