An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Forklift Loader to join our busy Shift Team at Humber Galvanizing Ltd based in Hull, HU9 1TQ. We are part of Wedge Group Galvanizing, a successful family-owned business offering secure employment to its employees for over 150 years. We have 14 sites nationwide and apply corrosion protection to all the steel you regularly see around you such as street furniture, lampposts, bridge beams and even football stadiums through our galvanizing process. What’s the role?
As a Forklift Loader you will help to deliver our Company’s mission being the ‘The Galvanizer of choice’ through being an integral part of a team that delivers high-quality products and service to all our customers.
Responsibilities
- Loading and offloading steel on lorries and company vehicles.
- Promote good customer service.
- Operating forklifts.
- Ensuring working areas are kept safe and tidy, working with your colleagues and company systems to highlight any concerns.
- Following training and procedures for all production-based activities and practices in your area.
Qualifications
- Must possess a forklift (FLT) licence.
- This role would suit someone who is a team-player, conscientious and has a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- The work often involves a reasonable amount of physical activity, so it would suit someone who is confident in lifting and handling work (with appropriate training offered to all).
- Be comfortable with I.T Systems and Planning Software.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential.

Hours
Working 38 hours (over 4 days between Monday to Friday) rotational weekly shifts between 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00. We may require you to work overtime where volume of work creates a need for further operational support.
