About us: South West Galvanizers Ltd, part of the Wedge Group Galvanizing, is a family‑owned business with over 150 years of experience. We have 14 sites nationwide, providing corrosion protection to steel in infrastructure and public spaces. This role is based in Crediton, EX17.

What’s the role? As an HGV Class 2 Driver you will support the Company’s mission to be the ‘UK’s Galvanizer of choice’ by operating a fleet that delivers high‑quality products to our customers.

  • Ensuring full compliance with all statutory requirements and driving legislation, including company procedures, tachograph monitoring, driver and road regulations.
  • Collecting and delivering steelwork.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with customers.
  • Completing accurate delivery records and relevant paperwork.
  • Carrying out vehicle inspections.

Qualifications: Motivated and reliable HGV Driver with:

  • A clean Class C licence, a digital tachograph card and a Driver CPC.
  • Previous experience transporting steel is desirable but not essential.
