Weddington Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and who can make a positive contribution to our inclusive and nurturing school community.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the school, supporting teaching and learning, delivering high-quality interventions and leading whole-class learning.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification
- Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Support pupils’ learning in a range of classroom settings, including working with individuals, groups and whole classes
- Be confident in planning, delivering and evaluating learning activities.
- Have experience of supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Have high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance.
- Spend time covering PPA and subject Leader time across Reception to Year 6.

Hours: 15 hours per week (2 full days), Term Time plus 2 training days
Salary: Band I £12,138.65-£13,156.63 Actual salary
