The Role: The Senior Project Manager/Programme Manager will lead complex, cross-functional technology and business transformation programmes that support strategic growth and operational improvement across the organisation. This is a high-impact delivery role with end-to-end ownership of major initiatives spanning supply chain, logistics, finance, digital platforms and ERP. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to define objectives, shape scope and ensure successful execution of strategic programmes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Programme and Project Delivery: Lead full project lifecycle from initiation through to implementation and closure. Define scope, timelines, budgets, resources and measurable outcomes. Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change control. Ensure delivery meets business objectives, timelines and commercial targets.
  • Cross-Functional Transformation: Lead projects across supply chain, logistics, finance, digital and core enterprise platforms. Oversee implementation and optimisation of retail systems such as ERP, POS, OMS, CRM and eCommerce platforms. Coordinate internal teams and third-party partners.
  • Business and Technology Alignment: Act as the bridge between business functions and IT delivery teams. Translate strategic objectives into structured programmes of work. Contribute to the wider technology strategy and change roadmap.
  • Governance and Stakeholder Management: Provide reporting and insight to executive leadership. Facilitate steering groups, workshops and decision forums. Build strong cross-functional relationships across departments and geographies.
  • Value and Outcomes: Ensure measurable business impact and return on technology investment. Improve operational efficiency and customer experience through effective delivery.

The Person:

  • Experience: Significant project or programme management experience delivering large-scale IT and business transformation. Experience operating within retail, supply chain, logistics or similarly complex environments. Proven delivery of cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and systems. Experience implementing or enhancing enterprise platforms such as ERP, POS, OMS or eCommerce. Strong experience managing vendors and third-party delivery partners.
  • Knowledge and Capability: Deep understanding of end-to-end retail operations across physical and digital channels. Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication capability. Excellent planning, governance and risk management skills. Commercial awareness and outcome-focused delivery mindset.
  • Qualifications: Degree educated or equivalent experience. Project management certification preferred, e.g. PRINCE2, PMP or similar.
  • Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with strong delivery discipline. Influential communicator able to align diverse stakeholders. Structured, organised and outcome-driven. Comfortable operating in complex, fast-moving environments.
