Established for over 45 years and now one of the North West's leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Quality Inspector to join our team at HTA Group Limited, part of the WEC Group based in Coventry. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and technically minded individual to thrive, working in a fast-paced environment within a successful and vibrant team. You will be able to utilise your independence and drive to succeed whilst being involved in various project work.
As a Quality Inspector you will be responsible for performing inspections of finished company product and initiating corrective actions. You will be a key member of the Quality department.
Responsibilities- Liaising with production and inspection staff on quality issues
- Implementing and maintaining agreed quality procedures
- Working within an ISO 9001 Management System
- Reading Engineering drawings GD&T
- Maintaining component traceability systems
- Carrying out regular in-process and final inspection
- Performing CMM Inspection and producing reports
- Entering appropriate records into QA and production databases
- Supporting and developing Production part approval process (PPAP)
- Supporting production in meeting delivery targets
- Be able to read basic fabrication drawings
- Experience in a similar position in a production/fabrication environment
- Be conversant with what constitutes a good and bad weld visually
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently
- Able to use basic measuring equipment
