Main Purpose of Role
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance of all plant equipment. Our Maintenance Engineers provide full technical engineering support to the manufacturing function, involved in preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, to minimise downtime, reduce costs and maximise productivity. All actions need to be carried out in a safe and professional manner, reporting to supervisors, and filling out daily shift reports and other necessary paperwork.
Key Job Objectives and Duties:
- Organising routine servicing schedules / PPM schedules for multiple machines
- Research principles of machine operation to facilitate repairs
- Diagnose and fit new parts
- Responding immediately to equipment breakdowns
- Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
- Making scheduled checks on machinery and parts
- Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule
- Working with OEM engineers
- Modifying machinery to fit our requirements
- Identifying and sourcing parts needed on breakdowns
- Working with Health and Safety department
- Working solely on machinery to identify problems
- Working at height essential
- Ability to read and transfer schematic drawings to diagnosing machines
