Citizen/Miyano Sliding Head Programmer

Responsibilities

Working within a predominantly medium to high batch machining cell, this role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC multi-axis sliding head autos. There is a requirement to program/set and run multiple machines simultaneously.

Due to the nature of the work, you should have excellent tooling knowledge and the ability to develop cutting strategies suitable for high-volume production.

This role demands high attention to detail and is suited for an engineer from an environment of high-tolerance work, such as automotive manufacturing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Must be time served with post-qualification experience in a technical machining environment.
• Ability to program using Fanuc controls.
• Experience with multi-axis turning centers.
• Adherence to the highest standards of health & safety and quality.
• Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and produce conforming parts.
• Experience working with various materials, including exotic alloys.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tooling selection, work holding, and cutting strategies.
• Effective communication skills at all levels and the ability to support a successful team.
