Established for over 45 years and now one of the North West's leading Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Operator to join our busy and expanding team based in Coventry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate linishing, grinding, sanding, deburring, and polishing equipment to finish parts to required specifications.
  • Perform secondary operations such as deburring, edge breaking, cleaning, and surface finishing on manufactured components.
  • Inspect parts visually and with basic measuring tools to ensure quality, dimensions, and surface finish meet standards.
  • Remove sharp edges, excess material, weld spatter, or machining marks from parts.
  • Identify defects or non-conforming parts and report issues to supervisors or quality personnel.
  • Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and tool changes as required.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and PPE requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Worked in a similar environment.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Current FLT license an advantage.
  • Be able to work using own initiative and as part of a team.
